DIVISION Z, DISTRICT 80 TOASTMASTERS INTERNATIONAL
First of all, I would like to thank members from Division Z for their support in rooting for me to serve as Division Z Governor for the term 2009-2010. It is yet another opportunity for me to polish up my leadership skills.
I started my toastmaster journey in the year 2005. I started serving my club as a club officer in the year 2006. I never anticipated that I would serve as a Division Governor one day. Many people has commented that I have improved tremendously over the past few years. I am required to deliver speeches and lead a group of colleagues at times in my workplace. Thanks to Toastmasters, it has provided me more opportunities to practice and enhance my communication and leadership skills. Furthermore, through active participation, I am able to widen my network and get to know more people
Division Z currently has 24 clubs in 5 Areas. Over the past 3 years, the division has achieved President Distinguished Division in the term 2006-2007 and Select Distinguished Division in the terms 2007-2008 & 2008-2009. Our District Theme for the current term is “Renew Your Promise”. Let’s us work together by renewing our toastmaster’s promise, to make every club a distinguished club, every area a distinguished area and to make Division Z a distinguished division(atleast). Your dedication & commitment will be the critical successful factor for all of us!
